Automatic Bed Detection From Your Floor Plan

Beds drawn on your floor plan now show up in the 3D model on their own — the right size, in the right place, with the pillows against the wall.

What shipped#

• Beds are found for you. When Sketch2Space reads a plan, it now spots every bed drawn on it and places a 3D bed there. No clicking, no dragging.
• Sized from the drawing. Each bed takes its width and length from the plan itself. A wide bed gets two pillows, a narrow one gets one.
• Turned the right way. The pillow end faces the wall the bed is drawn against, the way a real bed stands.
• Still yours to edit. A detected bed is ordinary furniture: move it, turn it, resize it, or delete it, exactly like a bed you placed yourself.
• Re-running keeps your work. Analyse the plan again and the detected beds are refreshed, while furniture you added by hand stays where you put it.
• On every plan. Free and paid accounts get it. Beds are first; more furniture types are on the way.

Why it matters#

Placing every bed by hand is slow, and it is the first thing a client looks for in a bedroom. Now the model comes back furnished where it counts, and you spend your time on what needs a human eye. How to use it#

1. Upload a plan and run the analysis as usual (see getting started).
2. When the model is ready, the beds are already in it. The furniture layer switches on by itself.
3. Not quite right? Click a bed to move, turn or resize it, or delete it.
