Ask AI questions about your floor plan

Once your 3D model is built you can just ask about it. Type a question the way you'd say it out loud — "what's the biggest room?", "how many windows are there?", "show me all the bedrooms" — and Sketch2Space answers, then paints what it's talking about in the 3D view.

What you can ask#

• Sizes and counts — room areas, total floor area, wall lengths, how many doors or windows.
• Where things are — which room the entrance opens into, where the biggest window sits.
• Find a kind of room — "show me all the bedrooms", "where are the bathrooms?"
• About one thing you picked — click a wall, room, window or piece of furniture in the 3D view first, then ask "how big is this?"

It answers about the model built from your sketch, and about the sketch itself — it reads the printed labels and dimensions on the drawing too. It doesn't know about your other projects.

It shows you what it means#

Every element an answer points at gets marked in the 3D view:

• Rooms and open areas are painted in colour. The colour pulses, so you can tell it apart from colours printed on your sketch.
• Walls, doors, windows, stairs and columns light up.
• The colour word in the answer is a button. Hover it and the other marked rooms fade back, so you can see which one it means. Click it and the view flies to that element, looking down at it.
• Every marked element gets its own colour, so "all the bedrooms" comes back as one colour per room.

Furniture is the one thing that isn't painted — the answer describes it in words.

Ask about the thing you clicked#

Pick something in the 3D view and it rides along with your question, like an open file:

1. Click a room floor, wall, door, window, stair, column or piece of furniture.
2. Its name appears above the question box — Asking about: Master Bedroom.
3. Ask "how big is this?" or "how long is this?" — no need to name it.
4. Don't want it included? Click the × on that name.

Any language#

Ask in your own language and the answer comes back in it. A question in Hebrew or Arabic is answered in Hebrew or Arabic, reading right to left — and the colour buttons are the colour words in that language.

How to use it#

1. Open a project whose 3D model is ready (see getting started).
2. Click the Ask about your model box at the top of the workspace. On a phone, tap the AI button.
3. Type your question and press Enter.
4. Click a colour in the answer to fly the view to what it means.

How many questions you get#

You get a set number of questions per day, and the count resets every day. How many depends on your plan — see pricing for what each plan includes.

Getting better answers#

• Build the model first. Ask AI reads the finished model, so run the analysis before asking.
• Name the room the way your sketch does. It reads the labels printed on your drawing.
• Fix the scale if sizes look off. Set the real length of one wall, then ask again — see edit your model.
• Ask one thing at a time. Short questions get short, clear answers.
